Press Release (English) Bangladesh Independence Day Proclamation Celebrated in Ottawa Ottawa, Canada — March 26, 2026 Bangladeshi Canadians proudly gathered in Ottawa to celebrate Bangladesh Independence Day through a special proclamation ceremony held at City Hall. The event marked a significant and historic occasion, reflecting the rich cultural heritage, unity, and national pride of the Bangladeshi community in Canada. The অনুষ্ঠানে was made possible with the generous support of Mark Sutcliffe and the Mayor’s City Hall team. Their recognition of Bangladesh Independence Day was deeply appreciated by all attendees and organizers. The program was organized with the support of The Bengali Community Service Centre of Canada (BCSCC), bringing together community leaders, volunteers, and residents to honor the মহান স্বাধীনতা দিবস. A major highlight of the celebration was the raising of the Bangladesh national flag in front of Ottawa City Hall. Community members gathered from সকাল থেকে সন্ধ্যা to witness this proud moment, take photographs, and celebrate together in unity. During the closing remarks, sincere gratitude was extended to all contributors for their dedication and months of hard work.
