Dr. ASM Noorullah Tarun, a dedicated family physician in Toronto, is now a candidate for the Scarborough Southwest riding in the upcoming federal election, scheduled for April 28, 2025. He has appealed to everyone to help him win the seat to represent us in Parliament.
Needless to say, Dr. Tarun is a household name in Toronto. With all the pleasures in the world, I am in an elevated mood by the very idea of having Dr. Tarun as one of our MPs. Dr. Tarun’s unique background and professional experience will undoubtedly make him an ideal fit to represent us in Ottawa, where he could assist the government in addressing and resolving, among other issues, the shortage of doctors and nurses in Canada.
Dr. Tarun advocates for a brighter, more prosperous future for all Canadians. He has already impressed his friends and acquaintances with his close work with the conservative leader, Pierre Poilievre, who is dedicated to fighting for a better Canada by adopting the “Canada First for Change” platform. Dr. Tarun recognizes the challenges ahead for Canadians, both politically and nationally. He aligns with the Conservative Party’s slogans: “Unleash Canadian Resources,” “Axe the Tax,” “Build Homes,” “Fix the Budget,” “Bring Home More Doctors and Nurses through the Blue Seal Program,” and “Stop Crime.”
Known for his charm, Dr. Tarun, a professionally triumphant adventurer, has an impressive track record that speaks for itself. He is wearing many hats in the diverse activities that he has been involved in, such as: (1) a practicing physician, (2) a successful business owner and director of the Canada Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce, (3) a dedicated community leader, (4 ) a team leader in aiding displaced people in the Rohingya Refugee Camps, (5) a volunteer with the Rotary Club, Danforth, and (6) president of the Bangladeshi Physicians and Dentists Association Canada.
Perhaps the two most commendable aspects of Dr. Tarun’s professional work are that he is the owner of six primary care clinics and one specialized center in the Greater Toronto Area, where he leads a team of licensed physicians as both the medical director and lead physician; as well, as the president of the Bangladeshi Physicians and Dentists Association of Canada, he is doing incredible networking that has undoubtedly helped him solidify his role as a leader in both the medical field and the broader community.
Additionally, Dr. Tarun’s previous work in Manitoba and his present efforts in Scarborough to improve healthcare access for its residents are praiseworthy. They demonstrate his tireless efforts in bringing physicians from the UK to fill the existing gap in Canada. This has enabled greater community access to medical professionals for those who need such facilities.
Over the years, in the cheer and comfort of our eyes, Dr. Tarun remains both a community person and a reputable physician. Married to Shirin Khan, a formidable presence in his life, they have a son and a daughter who are pursuing their studies together. With both feet on the ground and possessing multitasking capabilities, Dr. Tarun has been organizing and managing projects related to community activities that involve seniors, young adults, and individuals with special needs. In performing the various tasks, he has demonstrated deep enthusiasm, enormous vitality, and an uncanny sense of observation, grounded in reality and well-versed in the ways of the world.
What can Dr. Tarun do for us? What does his knowledge base include?
• Strategies for coping with the extraordinary circumstances as the government responds to the whims and caprices of the US government.
• Prodigiously talented and good at multitasking; Public Relations is one of his fortes.
• His involvement with the Conservative Party of Canada gives him a better competitive edge.
• Has ideas for improvement regarding foreign credentials, equivalency, and accreditation.
• Familiarity with health and medical issues affecting immigrants, as well as issues that impact immigrants in general.
• Has ideas and suggestions concerning health care services
• Issues facing senior citizens.
• Multiculturalism and Race Relations.
How can we assist Dr. Tarun?
• The election campaign will likely be shaped by our fear and anxiety surrounding the potential for sweeping tariffs as federal party leaders discuss their strategies. Let’s hear from Dr. Tarun about his personal views on the various issues Canadians are facing today. Let’s hear about his strategy for representing us in Ottawa.
• If you reside in the riding of Scarborough South, be sure to vote on election day or take advantage of advance polling.
• Identify friends and acquaintances residing in the same riding and approach them to do the same. Try to identify as many as you can.
• Get the ball rolling. Please get involved in fundraising, for he needs money. You may wish to volunteer your time or talent. Be a part of his team. He needs your ideas to move forward with the campaign. He needs all kinds of help.
Regardless of our political differences and diverse points of view, we must rally around Dr. Tarun to help him win the Scarborough Southwest riding, which will represent us. As we stand on the brink of a new kind of political experience, let’s commit ourselves to doing everything we can for a community leader driven by altruistic motives. Let’s take on the challenge head-on. A few years ago, Torontonians set an example of unity in electing Doly Begum at the provincial election. So, can we, this time around at the federal level, if we are united. Dr. Tarun has the same potential to be our voice in Ottawa. Let’s unite, putting aside our different political views to ensure that Dr. Tarun wins the election to be our “guy” in Ottawa.
Let’s not forget that the world is supposed to be full of possibilities. Let’s work toward making Dr. Tarun’s dream a reality. Can we? Yes, we can, with your help, Insh’Allah, if God is willing.
